Joyeous Porcelain by
Heidi
Fahrenbacher
Exhibit:
July 28th-Aug 29th Hours: Wed - Sun
10am-5pm -Open to the
public and by appointment
She thinks
about her work in terms of how one accessorizes an
outfit. The combination of styles, colors, and textures
represent different fashion genres. For her, breaking the
thought process down into something figurative allows her to
look at it more objectively and with less anxiety. She
appreciates color and its ability to interact with
people.
Utilizing a
potter's wheel her pots are formed and altered. With each
piece, she will draw an image that compliments or
contrasts the pattern she has carved into black
slip. She then hand paints glaze on each piece, which
creates textures and color variations. With each
piece she hopes to enhance her customer's day-to-day
life.

Endangered by
Laurie
Sharkus
Exhibit:
Sept 1st- 26th Hours: Wed -
Sun 10am-5pm
-Open to the public and by appointment
In her
artistic journey Laurie strives to capture the essence of the
animals' wild spirit in clay. Each one of her sculptures
is an original work of art. All of her work is hand sculpted
out of stoneware clay. Before starting, several sketches are
made while studying the animal's anatomy.
Many subjects
include Endangered Species, which are perched on bases depicting
their shrinking environment. She wants to convey the animal's
inseparable connection to its vital
habitat
